Two sets of artwork would be so much fun. And two album titles would be great because naming albums is such a difficult task for us, no one can agree on anything. So this time we get to think of two good ones!

This is probably my favorite idea I've heard so far. Even though it could make it difficult and inconvenient to listen to, it would only be half as many CDs as The Flaming Lips Zaireeka . It's good thinking and pretty creative, I like it.

Record your 80mins of music. Separate the instruments so one cd is 80mins of just drums, bass, one guitar, and one vocal track. The other cd will be the same songs but just the keyboard, back up vocals, and the other guitar. Fans will have to buy the two albums and they will need two cd players to hear "the full scope of your song writing prowess."

Two separate albums within 12 months. Two sets of artwork. Two titles. Two album release parties. Double the excitement. Something for you and you fans to talk about. Forces you to think hard and group the music into separate complete packages. That process alone is meaningful and discussion worthy.

True, and I do think that's a good idea. But the more I think about it, the more excited I am about getting to put together two albums as two different thoughts. Like making two really cool mix CD's for someone you know. But I wouldn't be surprised if we wound up doing what you're saying here though. It really depends on how unified they all sound when the songs are heard together.

I told you about releasing as one album that is a split package. Like Kid A and Amnesiac, but that they're obviously apart of the same album. (One album title and two subtitles)
